Contemporary design, highly comfortable, generous chair but efficient user of space

The basic shape of the main chair in this range is a square with two corners bevelled off (making a hexagon!), which means the design works well up against a wall, or fits neatly into corners, making the best use of available space. A middle chair (without sides) allows you to create a 3 or 4-seater sofa bench, or to create an L-shaped sofa. This is where modular design and Fair Trade come face to face.

Materials used

This contemporary design features banana fibre woven onto a sturdy wooden frame (made with mahogany and mindi offcuts). Five feather-filled cushions complete the design, literally supporting and hugging you in whatever position you adopt. The rich colours of the weaving material are beautifully offset by the paler fabrics of the cushions, making a pleasing addition to any living space.

Range of options

The main chair works on its own, for individual comfort, or combines with another chair to make a cosy pair, which form an impromptu sofa. Add the middle chair, to create more ambitious seating possibilities!

Other matching accessories include a side table, a footstool with cushion, and an octagonal coffee table with removable shelf, which can also be supplied with a fitted cushion to make a generous stool.
